Comfortable. Simple. Low impact.
Starlight Meadow is a small, independent glamping retreat in the Kent countryside, created around a simple idea: beautiful places become even more extraordinary after dark.
Set within ten acres of meadow and woodland near Lamberhurst, Starlight Meadow combines comfortable, thoughtfully equipped accommodation with space, nature and the night sky.
There are no rows of identical tents and no crowded campsite. Each place to stay has its own character and its own part of the meadow.
Slow down. Look up.
Days here can be as lazy or as adventurous as you choose. Explore the meadow and woodland, walk to the pub, discover the surrounding countryside — or simply put your feet up with a book and listen to what's around you.
Then, as daylight disappears, Starlight Meadow changes.
Light pollution is kept to a minimum. Fire pits come to life (when conditions are safe). And on clear nights, it's time to look up.
Every stay includes the opportunity to explore the night sky using modern smart telescopes. You don't need to know anything about astronomy before you arrive.
Our accommodation and facilities are deliberately low-impact. We use solar power, environmentally considerate products and composting toilets, while managing the meadow and woodland with wildlife and biodiversity in mind.
This isn't about bringing a hotel into a field. It's about giving you everything you need to enjoy the a magical meadow and woodland.
